On 04/19/2024 at about 1913 hours, Seward AST conducted a traffic stop on the Sterling Highway in Cooper Landing. The investigation revealed Tally Meyers, 33 of Anchorage, was driving under the influence (DUI). Tally was placed under arrest for DUI and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial.

On 04/19/2024 AST contacted Chase Elder, age 22 of Wasilla, in Wasilla. Chase was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant (3PA-23-02335CR, O/C Misconduct involving controlled substances in the fifth degree) and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
Update- Following a search warrant of Elders vehicle, a new charge of Misconduct involving controlled substances in the fifth degree was referred to the DAO.

On 4/19/24 at 2154 hrs, the Alaska State Troopers responded to an address in Wasilla for the report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed that, Samuel Anderson, age 39 of Wasilla, had driven under the influence of alcohol. Samuel was arrested without incident and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial were he was booked and subsequently released on his own recognizance.

On 4/19/24 AST responded to an after-the-fact disturbance in Wasilla. Following the investigation, a DV-related criminal mischief in the fifth degree charge against a juvenile was forwarded to Juvenile Justice.

On 4/20/24 at approximately 0121 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Wasilla contacted 61-year-old George Koval on a traffic stop for a moving offense. Investigation revealed George was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Troopers arrested George and transported him to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was remanded.

On 04/20/2024, at approximately 0149 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a white sedan for a moving violation on Palmer Wasilla Highway. Investigation revealed, the driver, Donald Redick, age 46 of Wasilla, was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Donald was arrested and remanded at MSPT where he was held until sober, then released on his own recognizance.

On 4/20/24 at 0257 hrs, AST responded to the area of Seward Meridian Parkway and Palmer Wasilla Highway for the report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed that a driver, Jesse Deru, age 30 of Wasilla, was driving under the influence of alcohol and was in possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Jesse was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was booked and subsequently released on his own recognizance.

On April 19th 2024, at about 2039, Troopers received multiple 911 calls about a dangerous driver in Salcha. Upon contact and further investigation with the vehicle and driver, Amanda Weiss, Amanda was arrested for DWLR and Reckless Driving. Amanda was remanded to FCC without incident.

On 4-19-24, Parks Highway Alaska State Troopers stopped a vehicle for a moving violation at mile 199 of the Parks Highway. An investigation disclosed the driver Anquanique Smith, age 31 of Fairbanks, had an outstanding arrest warrant. Original charge was Theft 4th degree. Smith was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center and remanded in lieu of $250 bail.

Investigation showed that Michael Fielder, age 27 of North Pole, attempted to hinder the apprehension of Haylee Whitmore, age 21 of Fairbanks, who had an active warrant for her arrest. Both Whitmore and Fielder were booked into FCC without incident.
